Worshipping in Goodmayes Methodist Church
“Please note that worship will be different to usual: social distancing will be practised (hence a limit to capacity of 40 persons); face coverings must be worn by all over the age of 11, unless you are exempted by government guidance; the service will begin at 11.30 am and will be short (around 40 minutes); and singing will be limited to a recorded hymn or a reading of the words. The offertory will be received as you come in and go out; two boxes will be placed at the entrance and exit. Communion will resume in October. After registering your intention to attend, please come early on the day (around 11:10 am): those arriving later than 11:20 am may have their place given to someone else. Arriving early will help to avoid disappointment.
There will still be space for those who simply turn up on the day: as a church for all, we have set aside some space for those who may not have registered their attendance in advance. However, registration will help us to manage the demand for places.
In summary, on Sundays practice “Love your neighbour!”. Please stay home, if you have any illness, cold or other symptoms. Please arrive early to allow us to sign you in and arrange seats for you (and your bubble). Doors will be open 11.10 am. There will be access (limited) to toilets. Please follow instructions before, during, and after worship. We will rejoice to share in worship again!”
